When families book a session with me, we work together to find a location that suits their family and fits the desired look of the session. Lucky for us, Denver has an incredible selection of unique, gorgeous and easily accessible locations.  The locations below are some of my favorite to photograph in. (If you have an idea in mind that is not here, please reach out and we can chat. I am open to other ideas, though some may be difficult to execute due to permitting/other restrictions.)

The landscaping of each location can change quickly. Keep in mind that prior to our time together, I scout out the location to make certain it’s what I expect.

Take a look at some of my favorite Denver locations and reach out to schedule your session.

City Park

This location is pretty much a sure bet no matter the time of year. Spring is gorgeous with blooming pastel trees and in the fall, the trees are magnificent! In between seasons, City park offers a wonderfully green and lush backdrop which is top of my list for my favorite locations in Denver

Westerly Creek

Westerly Creek in North East Denver’s Central Park neighborhood is a wonderful option for those living in and around Central Park. The park is easily accessible with plenty of parking and in the fall the trees are gorgeous shades of golds, yellows and greens.

Mount Falcon

I hold a permit for the stunning location so I always offer it as an option for my clients. Mount falcon is a fun location and a quintessential Colorado backdrop. It is 40 minutes from North East Denver though seems much further away. I recommend this location for families only with older children…The reason for this is that the terrain can be a little rough sometimes. This is a wonderful option for those that want a bit of Red Rocks in your images without heading there.

Rocky Mountain Arsenal

This one is probably a hidden gem that most don’t know about. Yes there is a wonderful wildlife and birdwatching environment here but the landscape is quite gorgeous especially in the summer. Perhaps the trickiest aspect of this location is that gates close at sundown so we have to be especially mindful of timing. The Arsenal can be quite green in the summer and in the fall, shades of orange and brown can be found.
