Big sister and Little Brother

So I think at this point, you are well aware that I just LOVE my job! Seeing the big sister and little brother together during this session is a perfect example of why my job fills me with so much joy.

After this session, seeing the big sister and little brother together, my heart just about burst! Big sister Quinn was so excited for my visit. Quinn was also very eager to help me. She was even more thrilled to show off her new little brother to me. When she interacted with him, she was soft and gentle. Together, we talked about how tiny his toes are. We also thought it his little wisps of hair were really cute.  This big sister and little brother will certainly be best friends.

Having two little ones at home is no easy feat. This sweet family certainly made it look that way though. Though little Eli was just 2 weeks old at the time of the session, the home was so calm. Grandparents were in town, dad was home from work and joy was filling the air.

You will quickly notice from the images below that little Eli was asleep for much of the time. At two weeks old, he may be considered an “older newborn” by some. I always recommend that clients have me into their home for a newborn session when the timing works for them. Sometimes that is 5 days after birth, sometimes, 5 weeks. I always want everyone, especially mom, to feel comfortably with my being at their home. No matter the timing of the newborn, we will always get beautiful, organic images.

Enjoy!
